As I referred some time ago, this evening was the infamous botellon planned. the event was picked up by some newspapers. As it is an event which is normally spread through social media and Word of Mouth, this isn’t the point of a botellon. But this said… It was great!
I felt an amazing vibe, it was social, met some new people and had some good laughs. Although, as I said in my previous blogpost, Ghent has already a long tradition of gathering on the graslei, this was a first on the Sint-Pietersplein. A square which is seemingly often forgotten and maybe underapreciated because tonight, it provided a great setting.

That’s a shame indeed. The organiser just wanted to have a nice and quiet gathering to which he included no personal gain. Just too bad how the city of Ghent is behaving now and getting back at him.
