- Striking Teenage Portraits Boost Young Photog’s Career
For Laura Pannack, a young photographer from the U.K., 2010 has been a busy year. In February, for her portrait “Graham,” a teenager suffering anorexia nervosa, she won first place in the Portrait Singles category at the World Press Awards. Last month, Pannack was awarded Best in Show at the Foto8 Summershow for her portrait "Shay".
It is Pannack’s portraits of British youth – her Untitled and Young Love collections – that have caught the attention and secured the plaudits. The intimacy of those photos stands out from the vast sea of portraiture.
- The Road Popper, a bike-mounted bottle opener
The Road Popper is a bike-mounted bottle opener that we developed for our own use and decided afterward to share. We designed it to fasten discreetly to the rails on the underside of the saddle to help keep your bike looking crisp. So far, it's worked on all the bottle caps we've tried it on. Material options are bronze infused stainless steel. Finish options are plain (on the right in the photograph), matte gold, glossy gold, matte antique bronze, and glossy antique bronze. The Road Popper is not intended for alcoholic beverages. Chromoly does not condone cycling while under the influence of alcohol.
- Very Nearly Almost #12
Got myself a copy of the latest VNA issue thanks to Julie over at Laid Back Radio! It features OOTB all time favorite Roa btw.
