Au Louvre, 24 hours in Paris

For those who didn’t catch the news, Belgian artist Wim Delvoye moved his work to Paris where he is the ’second artist to create a new, monumental sculpture for the Louvre’. The so-called “Suppo” will be exhibited at the Louvre museum the next couple months as part of the contemporary art exhibition “Wim Delvoye at the Louvre”, running from May 31 to September 17, 2012. If you want the full story we suggest you have a quick read here.

What follows is a quick instagram report on how we spent our 24 hours in Paris:

Thalys cruising, destination ‘PARIS!”. Bonobo in the ears, making funny faces our trademark.

Kidult pastes en route vers Louvre.

Spread some Musketon #worlddomination throughout town.

Spotted an extra ordinary job.

Visited Gallerie Perrotin, home for Kaws & Murakami amongst many others.

‘Suppo’ nicely positioned within the Louvre’s iconic Glass Pyramid.

Tattoo Tim

A great after party in an unreal (or better surreal) setting within the Louvre’s walls, Eiffel tower in the back.

Next day we happened to walk passed Nike’s “Barber Shop” which would open its doors that day.

Got ourselves some custom headwear made. #Bacon, nature’s candy 24/7.

Off course no Paris promenade is complete without spotting a Space Invader.

Can’t wait to head back to Paris soon as we have starting to really get the hang of the city. Thanks to everyone at Studio Delvoye & The Louvre/Gallerie Perrotin for the hospitality, we had a blast. Merci Mademoiselle Sstrid pour l’invitation!!
